What I'm doing now

A snapshot of what's got my attention right now. Inspired by Derek Sivers' /now page movement.

Coaching

At capacity with a full roster. If you'd like to join the waitlist, head here. Happy to recommend some great coaching colleagues too, depending on what you need.

Improv

Performing regularly in Bristol with the Bish Bosh Bash at Bristol Improv Theatre — our shows are now split format: short form in the first half, long form in the second. Also running the monthly Wednesday Night Improv night at the Hen & Chicken. We're currently auditioning for the first season of a brand new format — inspired by the likes of Taskmaster, Whose Line, and Game Changers — launching with a new cast in late summer/early autumn.

Designing

Working on an improv card game called Read the Room — a platforming game for 4–8 players where performers draw cards and try to convey a relationship, location, want, or emotion without saying it directly. It's currently in beta testing. If you're interested in trying it out with your group, get in touch.

Writing

Publishing A Cup of Tea and a Sit Down roughly weekly on Substack. At the moment I'm writing about the joy of TTRPGs with friends, the benefits of small changes, and why starting badly is better than not starting. I'm also learning screenwriting and working on a pilot episode — very much in the early stages, but enjoyably different territory.

Building

Tinkering with AI tools that can take away admin I don't like so that I can human more. Also maintaining the Bristol Improv Calendar.

Reading

On the go right now: Shift by Hugh Howey (book two of the Silo trilogy — couldn't stop after Wool), The Midnight Library by Matt Haig, and The Score by C. Thai Nguyen.
