Coaching

Improv
Performing regularly in Bristol with the Bish Bosh Bash at Bristol Improv Theatre, where I'm now team captain for the relaunch through to the end of the year — it's a fun night, come check it out. Also running the monthly Wednesday Night Improv night at the Hen & Chicken, coaching our house team who do short form in the first half, with a local team in for long form in the second. New this autumn: testing the waters for a new comedy company, working title RIFF, built around WNI — workshops to be announced soon.
Designing
Working on an improv training card game called Read the Room — a "platforming" game for 2+ players where performers draw cards and try to convey a relationship, location, want, or emotion without saying it directly. It's now live as a web app (one phone, passed around the room) and in beta testing with a handful of Bristol and UK groups. If you're interested in trying it out with your group, get in touch.
Writing
Publishing A Cup of Tea and a Sit Down on Substack — not quite weekly these days, but more on the way. Also deep into Yes, And, a six-part comedy-drama about an ensemble navigating life via the lessons of a beginners' improv class — the pilot and second episode are drafted, a third episode has a full first draft, and the shape of the whole six-episode season is mapped.
Building
What started as tinkering with AI tools has turned into a proper always-on personal assistant — it transcribes and files voice notes automatically, sends me a morning brief with the day's diary and open to-dos, and lets me push live updates to things like the Wednesday Night Improv cast pages without touching code. Also still maintaining the Bristol Improv Calendar.
